African Canadian Centre is home for Pamoja Initiative, a non profit organization that was founded in 2008 with a vision of creating an environment where our community can share resources, time, knowledge and experience, to improve our quality of life in Canada.
Pamoja is a Swahili word and it means “Together”.
Together we can make a difference to our lives.
Pamoja Initiative plans on setting up:

Settlement services for new immigrants

Literacy, tutorial and remedial programs for people of all ages.

Support services for single parents

An education Center to increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of African culture by teaching:

- African Canadian History
- Some African Languages
- Visual and performing art.
